Our last 3 week Break

Our Last 3 Week Break...

Sad, but true. This is our last 3 week break that we get. I asked Cory when he thinks the next time we will get a 3 week break like the ones we've been getting here at school...he said maybe in like 10 years and maybe not even that. Ha! How depressing. We do have a one week break in September and were planning on going to Lake Powell to see my brother who's living there. But that's the last of our breaks for a long long time. Once Cory starts work, he'll be constantly busy and we will hardly get any time off for a while.

Anyways, so our 3 week break was jammed packed. We did a ton of fun filled things with family and friends!
We decided to drive this time around since we will be traveling around a lot and we have a ton of stuff too! We thought if we left at like 4 in the morning that Miley will fall back asleep til around 8 or so, then take a nap later in the afternoon....but Miley thought staying awake and whining almost the whole time was a lot more fun. We got about an hour break from her while she took a VERY short nap! Makayla on the other hand was a angel, she just sat there and starred at her screaming sister. She slept a lot too, so that was a bonus.

As I was turned to take the picture of our girls sleeping, I noticed that the batteries were dead! Figures, at the beginning of our adventure my camera dies!! So all the rest of my pictures are borrowed from other cameras.

We started out our 1st week with the Osborne clan. Starting out with the Utah Valley 5K run! I've been running for a few months now, so I was pumped to try and out run Cory. But as soon as I started running, I realized the altitude difference and was gasping for air! We'll I'm happy to say I did finished right behind Cory and along side my sister-in-law, Sarah. It was fun, I'm glad Kari-lynn came up with this idea.

After our run, we all headed to a fun week at Park City!!!

One of the fun things we got to do while we had grandma watching the kiddos was play the 'not so newlywed game' that our hotel put on. Sadly, we didn't win but in defence we played with a lot of oldies. We had fun though!

Paintballing...

I don't know how the boys convinced us girls to go painballing, cuz it didn't turn out exactly like they said it would be. Within 5 minutes of starting the game the girls had enough!! Man, those paintballs hurt!! I know I'm a whip, but in defence I got hit like 6 times in a row and on top of the head (very sensitive area!)

Well at least I can check paintballling off the list of things to do before I die!

It defiantly was an eventful 1st week with the Osborne's...but we have 2 more weeks to go! Haha. But...I have to wait til I get pictures back from my mom camera. So stayed tuned...

4 years!

4 Years!!

I cannot believe that 4 years ago today we were married! It's also weird to think that, that is how long we have know each other too.
Has it really been four years? Do we really have 2 kids? Are we really going to be done with school in like 6 months? Crazy!! Looking back though, we have gone through a lot, and we can't wait to go though more together.
We haven't had the chance to celebrate yet since our anniversary fell on a day that Cory had a big test. Hopefully we can get the chance to get away for a least a couple hours in the next week or two.
I did however, make Cory one of his favorite meals...Cafe Rio! And then spent our evening going on a walk with our girls and watching Miley's new favorite movie...Toy Story. So nothing super exciting, but we both had fun.

Crabbing trip

Crabbing Trip!

This weekend we headed over to Dillon's beach to go crabbing! We both thought that this adventure was probably the most fun we've had since we've lived in the bay area. Both our girls were great, despite the fact that we had to wake the girls up early at 7:30 to go. It's hard to do anything when our girls sleep in til 10! (But I love it, I wouldn't trade it for anything!!)

We really didn't know what to expect from this trip since it was a first for us. We actually had some success, we probably caught about 15-20 crabs. And they were delicious!

This was Miley's first time playing in the sand and she really was unsure about the whole thing. At first she just stood in one place for like 10 minutes because she was afraid to walk in it. But gradually she warmed up to walking, then running, then playing, and finally eating the sand! I'd say she loves to play in sand now. :)

Proof that Makayla was there :) she really was great, she sleep a lot so we didn't have to hold her that much.
You can see all the fog, this place was pretty cold and foggy. Luckily we had some warm jackets and a fire to keep us warm. Funny how the sand was actually warm, so we walked around bare foot.

First Bath Together

Last night was our girls first of many baths together. I thought this was a really cute picture of the girls that I couldn't wait to put it on here. I just love to see the little rolls on Makayla. I love a good chubby baby! And I love Miley's great big smile! She really had fun with her sister in the tub with her.

Our girls are just getting bigger and bigger by the minute. I can't believe that Makayla is already 4 1/2 months! She's literally doubled in weight, and her and Miley are both in the 90% in height! They must get the tall jeans from my side of the family! Just look how tall all my brothers are!

Happy Makayla!...Heavenly Father really blessed me with this one. I love her so much! She's such a happy baby, whenever you come up to her she just gives you a great big smile! It's crazy how different she is than Miley. I felt like I held Miley a lot because she was fussy...but Makayla, she perfectly fine just sitting in her vibrating chair or swing. It defiantly makes life a lot easier when you've got a wild 19 month old :)

Yeah for Makayla, she rolled over for the first time the other day!

Makayla loves her hands, she ALWAYS has them right up near her face. She also sticks her tongue out like this a lot too.

Silly Miley! She really is such a funny gal, we laugh at her everyday for doing something funny. She's doing great in nursery...we absolutely love that she loves nursery! Cory and I are finally able to sit down and 'listen' to Sunday school and relief society/priesthood!

Miley's learning new words, learning to feed herself, draw, build things, and loves to explore and get into everything!! Now if we could only get her to talk a little more, she's still stuck on using sign language as a way to communicate.

She loves the bath! Miley's hair is getting so long! I actually just cut it because it was getting into her eyes. I just wish that she'd keep her little pig tails in!

I don't know why, but Miley loves to sit in Makayla's car seat. She'll be in there for like 15 minutes just sitting there sucking her thumb, it's pretty cute..and it gives me a break :)

This is just a clip of how crazy our Miley really is. She's throws herself on the couch, high chair, crib, stroller, car seat, and couch all day everyday!

And our happy family! We were just finishing a walk for the cure of cystic fibrosis for 0ur friends son Brent and Jessica. Boy, it was a hot one and Miley obviously didn't have a ton of fun :)

I was so happy to be able to spend a weekend with my big sister, Telisa! Her and her little girl Zoey flew in from Utah just to spend time with me and my two girls!! Since the last time she came to San Francisco she was like 12, we deiced to spend a day in the big city! We hit Fisherman's Wharf, and headed to the Presideo to see the bridge from the beach. On our way home we stopped at the Oakland Temple! I wish we could of done more because there is so much to see and do in this area, but with two little babies we couldn't spend too much time away from home (Cory watched Miley)

We had so much fun talking, catching up, watching movies, and going on walks. I can't get over how much Zoey has grown, the last time I saw her she was as old as Makayla! Zoey still is such a tiny thing...I swear Makayla weighs the same as her!!

Thanks Telisa for coming all the way out here, it meant a lot to me!! Love ya!!

We had a fun day at the Marina in San Leandro. These girls loved the swings, it was so hard to pull them off!


Fisherman's Wharf! It really was the PERFECT day to be the in the city, no clouds and plenty of sunshine!!

This was our last stop, the Oakland Temple! The tulips were in full bloom, so gorgeous!!

Makayla's Blessing

MAKAYLA'S BLESSING

Wow, It's crazy how time has flew by. I can't believe that Makayla is already 2 1/2 months old! She's got the cutest little chubby rolls on her legs, she definitely has enjoyed her milk!! haha. This past week we had my family and Cory's family over for Makayla's blessing, it was so fun having everyone here to celebrate Makayla's birth. My parents and brother didn't get to stay too long since my brother had school and my dad had to get back to work. Cory's mom was able to stay a whole week and we had a lot of fun with her here too.


We took some great pictures of Makayla in her cute blessing dress. Makayla really is such a great model, she was smiling and talking to us the whole time. :)
